Configuring Your Domain Name’s Settings
This lesson is the most technically complicated part of the domain name training. Fortunately, it’s really not that difficult. Plus, we’ve included some video instruction so that you’ll be able to follow along closely.
I won’t waste your time by explaining “name servers”. This task needs to be completed only one time, and then you can forget about it forever. But if you do not complete this task right away, it will be impossible for your website to work properly.
Basically all you need to know is that there are two settings that must be changed for your websites. These settings are called domain name servers or DNS. If you are involved in Bryan Ellis’ private coaching group called the “SEMSite Blog Workgroup”, the values that you will need are these:
- ns1.seohost.biz
- ns2.seohost.biz
So here’s how to proceed:
- Watch the video to which I have linked below
- When a box appears in the video that says “Enter the nameservers as provided by your webhost”, please enter the above values in the appropriate spaces. (The instructional video will use the sample values “ns1.peoplehost.com” and “ns2.peoplehost.com”. Please note that you MUST use the above values - “ns1.seohost.biz” and “ns2.seohost.biz” - instead.)
- BE SURE TO CLICK “SAVE CHANGES”!
- In the space below on this page, enter your name and email address in the spaces provided and then in the “comments” area tell me the domain name that you have registered. This is critically important - unless I know the domain name you’ve registered, it will be impossible to set up your SEMSite.
- In the same comment/questions area as where you enter your domain name, please tell me the “topic” around which you want your website focused.
The video that demonstrates how to change your DNS is here: How To Change DNS
As always, please feel free to leave questions/comments in the space below, and I’ll reply to you very promptly!

Bryan,
Since I want to add three different businesses or SEMSites, do I register a domain for each? You had mentioned that I can do all three with one SEMsite. Please elaborate on how I can do this. Thanks!
You can generate traffic for 3 separate topics with one SEMSite, though I don’t really recommend that. If that’s what you’d like to do anyway, you’ll simply have to select 3 topics and provide those topics to me in a few days when I ask you. If you’d like to have 2 additional SEMSites, let me know and I can provide pricing to you. — Bryan Ellis

Bryan,
I registered the following:
freemortgagecreditrepair.com
The topic is mortgages. I’m trying to get traffic to my mortgage website.
Thanks!

Hi Bryan,
If we want to do additional SEMsites after this traing is over is it possible and how much would it be?
Thanks
Dennis

Bryan,
I would like to know the pricing for an additional semsite and can I do this after the training with you. I have a website now but not sure with this domain name I want it to go there. I would also like to have another domain name that would drive traffic to my existing website.
My domain name is ****. I change the name servers as you directed. This is a domain name I registered before I signed up for your class.
I actually sent you this same message yesterday but I must have typed in the wrong code words. Thank you.
P Lewis
Please check the information in Assignment #3 for hosting multiple SEMSites. Thanks! — Bryan Ellis
